These are the palapas we stayed in.
The inside of the room. At night, when the lights were off, you could see little spaces between the floor boards, where the light would come through. And, I was afraid, bugs.
This picture is to show you that, even though we were in quaint little huts, the roof didn't actually make a seamless seal with the wall…..in which, I was almost always afraid some sort of critter, or reptile, or bug would crawl through and get me in the middle of the night. (I always closed the bathroom door just in case :o)
Here's a better look at the inside of the roof.
And here was the beach just steps from my door. I almost felt guilty being able to see this everyday.
Sitting at the pool, you could see the ocean and the restaurant and on a really clear day, you could see Cozumel and the cruise ships across the way.
That is Doug out there paddle boarding.
It was an absolutely beautiful place!
